APRIL LOCKHART

Identifying and living as a lesbian from the age of 14 to 25, April wrestled with her sexuality throughout three long-term relationships before deciding a change was crucial. April stumbled through trying to find the perfect woman, party life, alcohol abuse, depression and suicide. Through a spiritual process and a journey with the Lord, she gave her life over to God. As a result, and while serving in the Army in Iraq, she met the man that would become her husband; and now has three beautiful children with him. A now retired LAPD Police Officer, she works with Changed Movement to bring awareness to the political arena that there is a real possibility of escaping the homosexual lifestyle. April also works with Living Waters Ministry as a spiritual mentor and has a passion to share the healing power of the Gospels Good News. After 11 years of marriage, her primary endeavor in life now is to embody the Proverbs 31 woman in her home.

LUCA JO GROPPOLI

My name is Luca Jo Groppoli and I am 57 years old. I grew up in St. Paul, MN. I am the youngest of seven children and I was my dad’s favorite. My mother passed away when I was six years old. Never having the opportunity to have been known by my mother, I was depleted of several important factors one needs in order to grow into a healthy, whole adult woman. This combined with several other traumatic events led me to identify as transgender. I lived as a man for 34 years… I changed my name to Travis Sandchelly, but never went any further through the process. Something was stopping me, inside I knew I was being told a lie, but could not understand what and why.

Then I met Jesus 11 years ago.  It was then I gave Him my heart and He gave me His. Over time, and in relationship with Him, He restored my womanhood and my femininity. Now, I enjoy sharing the hope of Christ within me. I love meeting new people. I enjoy deep conversations, discovering who I am in Christ, and helping others become who they were created to be. I graduated from Christ For the Nations Bible College in Dallas Texas and am a licensed minister through Fellowship of Ministries and Churches. Texas.

I love animals of all sorts. In fact, it was the love I had for my dog, Ricco who God used to begin opening my heart to love. I love traveling, walking, motorcycles, machines, and the Constitution!  My favorite food is tacos.
