Dawn Beard
Lead Pastor / Chairman of Board of Servants
As a child, God captured Dawn’s life and set her apart for His call. At the age of 12, she joined the worship team and has since served in various ministries of the church. In 2000, she moved from Arizona, where she took a position as a cardiac nurse in Pasadena and joined Heights Worship Center. During a missions trip to the Philippines, God called her to leave her position as a nurse and to serve Him full time. Since then, she has traveled around the world, ministering to the Body of Christ and reaching the lost through teaching, outreach and worship ministry. She is the founder of Awake the Nations Ministries and currently serves as the Senior Pastor at HWC.

Jaren was raised in a spirit-filled household with both parents as ministers. He taught his Sunday school class at 12 years old, preached his first sermon at 16 and pastored in the first local Assembly of God church at 19 years old after graduation from Bible School. He is very passionate for God in a lifestyle of worship and believes that all other missions and ministries are overflows from the Presence of God. He is blessed to be married to Pastor Rose Gomez Lapasaran, with two daughters who are married, and now grandfathering four awesome grandchildren. He still loves basketball.
